Mariia Saukhina is a certified instructor specializing in aerial silks and ring, with additional training from the Circus Arts Center in St. Petersburg (Russia). She also holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Stirling, which complements her work as an aerial silks teacher by offering insights into the connection between movement and mental well-being.
Originally trained as a lawyer, Maria discovered aerial gymnastics in 2016 as a hobby that helped her maintain balance and psychological health during a busy professional life. Over time, this passion inspired her to pursue a career change, first studying psychology and then becoming a certified instructor to share her love for aerial arts with others.
Maria values the ability of aerial gymnastics to not only build physical strength and flexibility but also to foster confidence and emotional resilience. She focuses on creating a supportive and welcoming space for beginners, especially those starting later in life, helping them explore their potential and find joy in movement
